Thursday afternoon we packed and were on the road to Frandy Park Campground for a weekend of fun at Kernville Kampout. Kernville Campout is an annual motorcycle ride hosted by Biltwell at the Kern River. It’s a weekend dedicated to riding motorcycles with your friends and having fun.
Summertime campouts: dusty boots and collecting branches for a cackling fire that usually is maintained until about 2am when everyone has had too many beers and too much whisky to care. We curl up in Mexican blankets on the sand and roast sausages with the hum of Credence Clearwater Revival or The Scorpions in the background.
“On Sunday September 30th 2018, over 120,000 distinguished gentlefolk in over 650 cities worldwide will don their cravats, tustle their ties, press their tweed, and sit astride their classic and vintage styled motorcycles to raise funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and men’s mental health.” The annual Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is just three days away. There’s still time to register!
It’s time for Iron and Resin’s annual Hooligan Hoedown. It’s a weekend of fun at Bandit Town with Hooligan Games, campfires, and good company. This event is rain or shine so come prepared (year before last year there was a torrential downpour on our ride home!)
