We’re always on the lookout for new, spicy sauces to incorporate into our cooking and dump on top of our short rib tacos on Taco Tuesdays. I personally really enjoy spicy food and can’t get enough of it. For the last few years we’ve grown a variety of peppers on our own that we’ve created our own small batch hot sauces with, but there are so many great hot sauce varieties that we love bottled hot sauces as well. We’ve compiled a list of some of the sauces we enjoy to share with you that are different from the normal fan favorites like Sriracha, Tapatio, Tabasco, Frank’s Red Hot, and Cholula. The sauces vary with their levels of heat so there should be something for everyone. Spice up your kitchen with one of these unique hot sauce concoctions.
One of my favorite parts about cooking and BBQ is the sauce. Sauce has the ability to transform your pulled pork , chicken, brisket, or other meat from Kansas City-Style to South Carolina Style meal with just a few spoonfuls. Traditional BBQ and the seasonings and spices they use on their meats change from region to region. Today we will be covering the different styles of sauces and dips that are commonly used in each region so you can try them out during your next cook.
When summertime ends and it cools down for fall, we always have wood burning in the fireplace and search for cozy, homey dishes to make and enjoy with friends. Finding apple butter in a grocery store (especially good apple butter) is an impossible task. It’s one of those things that will never taste as good from the store, you’ve got to make it yourself. As Thanksgiving approaches, we decided to try making apple butter and were so happy with the results.
BBQ rubs can bring flavor and complexity to your dishes. Instead of slathering on the same old BBQ sauce you’ve been using, up your BBQ game with any of these rubs. Some of these rubs are better on certain meats than others, take that into consideration before you begin.
0Incorporating eclectic sauces and seasonings into your dishes is a great way to mix things up in the kitchen. These sauces will add unique flavors to ingredients you use every day. Even if you’re not an adventurous foodie, we bet you’ll really enjoy some of these!
