Mornings I love most : warm bath water, white towels, french press coffee, and nectarines. The bathroom drawers always seem to be filled with bath products for this reason. Here’s an inside look at our favorite Lush products.
You catch more flies with honey –
Lush has a whole line of products for honey lovers. I’ve honestly tried most of them and have yet to be disappointed by one. Whether you’re into bars of soap, body butter, or shampoo… they’ve got something for you.
One of Lush’s best sellers. They use real honey and beeswax with every batch to help soothe skin and honey water and aloe help moisturize. The scent of this soap is sweet, but not overpowering. It’s a great neutral to have in the shower. This soap is unisex and isn’t overly fragrant. If you and your significant other are sharing the shower, both of you are able to enjoy this one.
Your hair will be left smelling like honey and toffee after using this shampoo bar. Lush says this solid, self-preserving bar will last for up to 80 washes (or three bottles of liquid shampoo). It also doesn’t require a package. Place it in one of their little shower tins and you’re good to go.
I love pairing this with the Matrix Biolage R.A.W. Nourish conditioner. This conditioner is infused with coconut oil and kaolin clay and always leaves my hair smelling so good. This conditioner is also great because it contains no sulfates, parabens, or artificial colorants. It’s natural-orgin formula is also vegan.
The sweet notes of honey are always something that I love about these products because they leave your hair smelling like summertime, but are not overly sweet. The scent really is understated and lingers on your hair the entire day.
I do love this body butter bar, but it goes more quickly than I’d like. It’s very moisturizing and does lightly exfoliate skin with ingredients like coconut shell, ground almonds, honey, cocoa, and shea butter. I really enjoy using it, but just know it’s not as long-lasting as some of the other body bars that Lush offers. The fair trade organic cocoa butter will leave your skin feeling so soft after use.
This is definitely more of a sweet treat at our house. I have a hard time keeping this in my regular shower routine because it goes so quickly, but if you’re in the mood to treat yourself this is a great one to try out.
Bath Bombs & Oils-
Jasmine, clary sage, ylang ylang, and soy milk all make this bath bomb great. This bath bomb is great for relaxing and a little self-indulgence. This bath bomb is very pretty and feminine; it turns the water a bright pink, magenta color that lasts for your entire bath. The fragrance is sweet, but not overpowering. Make sure to grab a glass of your favorite Rose and a nice book to enjoy before hopping in, you’re going to want to enjoy this one.
If you’re looking for a bath fizzy, this one is great because it’s full of fair trade organic cococa butter which makes your skin super soft. The vanilla scent is a definite plus too. This bath bomb is really nice because the fragrance isn’t overpowering and you can actually see the pieces of cocoa butter floating in the water and dissolving (which makes your skin smooth and soft). This is a great one for someone who isn’t sure about bath bombs and is afraid of the blue, glittery qualities of other choices.
This bath bomb is dark on the outside, but turns orange, pink, yellow, and green as soon as you immerse it in the water. The scent is spicy and smells like myrrh and black pepper. Definitely worth a try! This one is for someone who isn’t into girly smelling (or looking) bath bombs. The scent is much more savory and is definitely more masculine than other choices.
In the mood for a pina colada? Grab this bath oil and enjoy sandalwood oil, vanilla, lemon oil, organic cocoa and shea butters. It’s moisturizing and tropical! This bath bomb is great because it is super moisturizing with the shea butter and makes your skin feel silky smooth when you hop out. The scent is pleasant and relaxing. Taking a bath with this is sort of like going on a mini vacation. We’d highly recommend trying it.
For those of you that like bubbles –
Break this bubble bar up for multiple uses. We always have this one around the house, it’s one of my favorites. Black currant adds a bold, fruity scent to this bubble bar and who doesn’t love bubbles? I would highly recommend bringing some bold red wine with hints of blackberries or raspberries to the bath with you when you use this one. I genuinely think this is one of my favorite lush products because it incorporates the bubbles, great color, and a delicious scent in one little bar that lasts for multiple baths. You just break a piece off, throw it in while the water is running, and enjoy. We usually can get 4-5 baths out of one of these bars.
Another sweeter, more fruity bath product that I love. Lush said this one was inspired by macarons and features an intoxicating lemon-rose perfume. Rose oil, rose absolute, and shea butter all help soothe dry skin and moisturize. This fragrance is a lot stronger than some of the others. If you’re in the mood for an extra feminine treat, this would be a nice go to. If scent bothers you and you prefer something more understated, use a little bit or try a different product.
Bubbles combined with cocoa butter, soy milk, olive oil, and orange oil will leave your skin feeling soft and fresh. I personally really love the delicate hint of orange that lingers while you’re in the bath! This bath bar is a bit understated compared to the others, you could get about three baths out of this…. or you could toss the whole thing in for an indulgent experience filled with lots of bubbles and fun. If I am treating myself and have a giant bath tub, I prefer the latter.
This is a more masculine bubble bar and we love it. Frankincense adds a ‘woody, grounding aroma that blends well with earthy patchouli to relax and restore your state of mind’. The bath bar has lots of bubbles and turns the water a really pretty blue color. It’s a great one for stress relief and is unisex in my opinion. The scent is earthy and a little sweet; it’s not overly feminine.
This is one of my absolute favorites! It’s worth the splurge. It’s half way between a scrub and shower gel and leaves your skin feeling so soft. “Fine sea salt gently exfoliates and leaves you smooth as can be while fresh lemon juice and lemon oil brighten skin. The soft floral scent of mimosa, jasmine and orange flower will keep you coming back for more.” Start slow, you only need a dollop to achieve a great lather with this one. A little goes a long way, which is great since it’s on the pricey side. Rub it all over your skin and step out feeling soft and smooth.
Men and women will both absolutely love this one. It’s a more coarse scrub that combines fine and coarse sea salt, coconut oil, and avocado butter. Seaweed absolute, lime oil, and vodka add a nice scent to this scrub. It’s a great basic. This one is really nice during summer when you’re feeling a bit more beachy. It’s a nice exfoliator and you can even use it on your face. I will say, use before shaving your legs. The salt will burn your skin some just like if you hopped in the ocean right after shaving.
I always have this one on hand. It’s also great for guys and girls. It combines exfoliating ground rice, almonds, and beans in creamy cocoa and shae butter to moisturize and exfoliate. This bar is wonderful and lasts a pretty long time. I always step out of the shower feeling soft and smooth after using. I use this right before I hop out so the cocoa and shea butter is still melting into my skin as I pat dry. If you have drier skin and are looking for a good exfoliant and moisturizer for the shower, this is my go to.
